KT Series automatic revolving doors allow pedestrians to move in and out of buildings without applying force to a push bar. Available in two-, three- and four-wing models, the doors are ideal for use in hotels, healthcare settings, and airports. Their large diameters and automatic action simplify passage for pedestrians who are carrying packages, toting luggage, or pushing wheelchairs or strollers.
Extremely versatile, the doors can be configured to collapse inward for unobstructed flow or passage of bulky items. Optional locked wings and night shields can be selected for increased security. Glass showcases, which enable the building owner to place signage or promotional materials into the door itself, can also be included. With modern European styling and an assortment of glass and finish options, the revolving doors can be specified to meet a wide range of aesthetic demands.
KT Series revolving doors offer a comprehensive range of safety equipment to optimize protection of people and objects. The main closing edges are equipped with two infrared safety sensors and safety contact strips. These detect the presence of any person or object that is moving too slowly for the revolving assembly and will reduce the operating speed accordingly. In addition, if a door wing meets an obstruction, sensors cause the door to stop until the obstruction has been removed. The KT Series revolving doors also feature disabled access push-buttons and emergency stop push-buttons.
In addition, KT Series revolving doors protect the building interior from drafts, noise and dirt. By minimizing airflow between the exterior and interior, a revolving door can pay for itself in energy savings within three to five years. In addition, KT Series’ breakout wings are equipped with horsehair brushes to ensure the exclusion of drafts.
